Our In-Clinic Medical Grade Skin Care Lines

Browse & Try In Clinic

When you visit our Ventura clinic, you’ll find two medical grade skin care lines displayed and ready to browse: our own California Living line and Oxven Wellness skincare, alongside Oxven supplements. We didn’t try to stock every product on the market. The lineup covers what patients actually ask for: an AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser, hyaluronic and vitamin C serums, a peptide treatment lotion, retinol night creme, an eye creme, and daily protection including tinted mineral SPF. Tester stands are out on the counter, so you can try products in person before you commit. No product is pushed on you. If something isn’t a fit, we’ll tell you.

What Makes Skincare Medical Grade

“Medical grade” isn’t a marketing label we apply loosely. It typically refers to formulations with higher active-ingredient concentrations, tighter quality control, and ingredient sourcing that’s been vetted for stability and performance, the kind of products usually sold through a physician’s office rather than a big-box shelf. A stronger active ingredient used incorrectly can irritate skin instead of supporting it. Our team, overseen by Dr. Vincent A. Covelli, DO, helps you understand what’s actually in a product, how it’s meant to be used, and whether it fits your skin type and goals, so you’re not guessing at concentrations or layering products that work against each other.

Why Patients Choose Medical Grade Skincare

Higher Active Concentrations

Medical grade formulations typically carry stronger concentrations of actives like retinol and vitamin C, selected and used with professional guidance.

Vetted Quality & Sourcing

Tighter quality control and ingredient sourcing vetted for stability and performance, the standard for products sold through physician offices.

Guidance, Not Guesswork

Our team helps you match products to your skin type and goals, so you are not layering products that work against each other.

A Focused Lineup

Cleanser, serums, peptide treatment lotion, retinol night creme, eye creme, and tinted mineral SPF. The basics patients actually ask for.

Fits Your Bigger Plan

Pairs naturally with physician-guided weight loss, glutathione, and IV therapy, all under one clinic and one physician-led team.

Good to Know

More on Medical Grade Skin Care in Ventura

Copper Peptides and GHK-Cu

Our retail line includes a peptide treatment lotion. Separately, one peptide patients ask about often is GHK-Cu, a naturally occurring copper-binding peptide studied for its role in skin appearance. To be clear, GHK-Cu is a topic we discuss during peptide consultations, not a listed ingredient in our retail skincare. If you want to go deeper into peptide options beyond topical skincare, our team walks through those choices during consultation. You can read more on our peptide therapy page.

Skincare That Fits Your Bigger Plan

Skincare rarely exists in isolation here. Patients on our physician-guided weight loss programs frequently ask us about their skin as their body changes, and it’s a fair question to bring to a consultation. We also offer glutathione injections, which some patients pair with their skincare routine, and IV drips some patients add for hydration and general wellness through our IV therapy menu. None of these are bundled or required. We simply find that patients managing their weight, their wellness, and their skin appreciate having one clinic and one physician-led team who can talk through all of it together.

Frequently Asked Questions About Medical Grade Skincare

We carry two lines: our own California Living medical grade skincare (cleanser, serums, peptide treatment lotion, retinol night creme, eye creme, and tinted mineral SPF) and Oxven Wellness skincare, alongside Oxven supplements. Both are stocked in clinic in Ventura with testers available to try.

You’re welcome to browse our in-clinic display anytime we’re open. We do recommend a brief conversation with our team first, especially if you have sensitive skin or specific concerns, so we can point you toward products that actually fit your skin instead of guessing.

Drugstore and department store products are formulated for broad, general use and lower irritation risk. Medical grade lines often use higher active concentrations meant to be guided by a provider, which is why we walk patients through product selection rather than leaving them to figure it out alone.

Yes. Many of our weight loss patients ask about their skin as their body changes, and it is a normal topic to bring up during any visit. Some patients also explore GHK-Cu and other peptide options through our peptide therapy consultations alongside their skincare routine.
